We took our annual trip to Creede for the 4th. We love going to Aunt Elaine's. This year Heather and her family were there, also Grandpa Gary, Kelanee and family and Sara and the boys. We had a great time. We love just sitting on her deck visiting as the kids play in the sandbox and football in the back yard. Of course there is also lots of good food. We go to the parade and get lots of candy. This year it was really crowded so we stood in the sun and not the shade during the parade. Of course some of us got sunburned, but had a great time. The girls went back into town and did some shopping. Then it rained right before the fireworks. Kelly built a big fire and we sat out side and watched the fireworks. Nathan,Kel's husband bought some fireworks he got in Chama (they we the illegals ones) but they were good. Mark and I both had to be at church the next day. Luck for us it doesn't start until 11:30. We left Blake with grandpa Gary and headed out at 6:30 am. It is about a 4 hour drive. We made it home in time to get ready for church. What a good weekend we had. Thanks Lane for letting us come and visit

While I was in the Valley, Heather and I made 4th of July skirts for the girls. They turned out so cute!

Those boys had a great time too. Especially with the sparklers!
