Christmas in the Valley

This is our 5th Christmas that we have spent at Grandpa Gary's house. We were so excited to go to the Valley. Luckily we left Grand Junction in between storms. It did take us about an hour longer to get there, but we made it. Christmas Eve is at Grandpa Gary's house. There is always a lot of commotion, but it is what we do every year and we love it. This year Kyla and Brant had their baby on Christmas Eve. baby Maddison Kae. With her, that makes 21 grand kids.
Santa found the kids at grandpas. I guess they were good enough. The boys got Nerf machine guns that fire 3 darts per second. What was Santa thinking? Brady came running in on Christmas morning and told me that Izzy had fallen in the den and was hurt. So of course I take off down the hall. When I entered the den, Brady closed the door and opened fire on me. All 25 darts hit me in the back. Again, what was Santa thinking? McKenna got a Little Pet Shop house and a bratz phone and Izzy got a babydoll and a Little pet shop scrapbooking kit. Santa was very good to all of them. We got to spend time on Christmas day with grand Mary and grandpa Bill. It was good to see all of our family. We even got to see baby Maddison. What a cutie and how special it would be to bring a baby from the hospital on Christmas day. We got to spend a week in the Valley with our family. I know that sooner than later we will be spending Christmas at our home in Grand Junction. It is getting harder to take everything for Christmas. But hopefully we have a few more years.
